A few asides; some passing mumblings
April 8th, 2006 by Bill
I have new glasses. They’re driving me crazy. For a number of reasons. I hope to explain those reasons in a future post, one I’m sure the world is anxious to read. For now, I’ll leave it at this – repeating: they’re driving me nuts. I’ll endeavor to adjust.
Meantime … I watched The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe tonight. It took me by surprise in that it is a big movie, lots of special effects and yet manages to actually be a good movie. I just about fell out of my chair. It is easily the best “big” movie I’ve seen recently. Of course, it actually had a story. That had a lot to do with its success.
I’m not working now. I won’t be working again till a week from Tuesday. And I haven’t planned my time off, so I don’t have to run around doing nonsense – like getting up early to catch a plane, packing and so on. I can simply wake up and go, “Hey! I don’t have to anything today.”
I like that.
I like that a lot.

Whenever I get new glasses they always drive me insane, so I’ve solved that problem by refusing to get new ones (brushing hands together)
I’m glad to hear that you truly enjoyed Narnia. I’ve been going back and forth on whether or not to see it. I think I’ll give it a shot now that you’ve weighed in. Thanks hon.
Enjoy your time off and your nothingness. I can’t think of anything better.
i am horrible at not having plans. teach me your ways!
I love having nothing to do.
I didn’t go to work today, but it is because I am going to a funeral.
Still, it’s a gorgeous day for burying somebody.
Loved Narnia — someone finally did Aslan justice in a film.
Yes, and that was Liam Neeson as the voice of Aslan. Unfortunately I have to hate Mr. Neeson because he’s married to Natasha Richardson. The bastard!
Well, I hope you at least got drunk. That’s what I would do if I had time off.
