All right thinking people …

… are Oiler fans. Edmonton Oiler fans. And tonight, two hours from now actually, the Oil skate out onto the ice at Joe Louis Arena to tussle with the Detroit Red Wings.
This is a fun time of year because the “experts” are almost always wrong in their predictions about who will win the Stanley Cup, which bodes well for the Oil but not so well for the Wings. Teams that are expected to win seldom do. (Just ask the Vancouver Canucks.)
The great thing about this first round is that the Oilers aren’t playing Dallas. Thank heaven for that. I don’t know what it is about the Dallas Stars but the Oilers are largely luckless against them.
But Detroit? Despite their record, the Oil have fared pretty well against them.
And for those of you who care little for events such as this (which carry with them the fate of nations), I don’t expect to post often about hockey. But this post was necessary because it is, after all, hockey.

Personally, I’ve asked to sit on the bench for this series because, frankly, I’m scared. We don’t have a chance against the Oilers and I think it would hurt my reputation to be humiliated on the ice as I expect to be. But they say I’m being paid too much - they won’t let me sit it out.
Is it wrong for a grown man to cry and ask for his mommy?
Suck it up Stevie Y, and throw and octopus on the ice, eh!
End of two, Oil 2-1, glass full of whiskey, and I just heard extra lyrics for The Hockey Song. Put ‘em up on my site. They are perfect….
GOOOOOOOOOOO OIL
Sure was nice to see you in the sin bin Stevie……LMFAO
Eeeeeeeeeewwwwww. So close. So close.
Arrrgggg …. That was frustrating. Roloson deserved a win. The Oilers, as a team, did not - much as I hate to say that. Grrrr!
