So, how was your day?

I envy this bird. Nice still water. No other birds around it.

Yes, I would like to be there. I would like to be that bird.

As it was, my day was not like this bird’s. While those in the U.S. enjoyed day three of their Memorial Day weekend (at least, I think that’s what this weekend was for you guys), here in Canada it was a work day.

And a stupid work day! Ack!

What is a stupid work day? The kind of day where you run around like a lunatic, are buried under e-mails and spreadsheets, yet nothing gets accomplished.

On the upside … when you get the stupid day out of the way early in the week, often that means the rest of the week will improve. I mean, while it can (possibly) get worse, it’s not likely.

But whether it does or not … I’d still like to be that bird. (A Great Lakes seagull … and that lake is Lake Huron, for those who may be wondering.)

I’d like to eat bugs like that bird.

Imagine how hectic that town is going to be when the Oil win the Cup!

BTW - If Carolina wins tonight (and I believe they will), isn’t it ironic that the two teams in the finals will be not only representing their respective towns and countries, but also the two biggest headlines (hurricanes and oil) over the past year or so?

I thought that you might like that!

I would like to be that bird right now myself - he’s probably cool. It looks so peaceful and quiet - nothing like my house - AND he doesn’t look like he has a care or a worry in the world.

    VERY LUCKY BIRD

    I hate the stupid day.

On another note, some of my happiest memories involve swimming in Lake Huron and diving to the bottom to mine for clay, with my sisters.

Flounder: the Canes got the shaft on a non-penalty call (I think) and lost - which is good. The more the beat each other up the better for us. And yes, this town will go carzy of they bring home the Cup.

Debby: I’ love to be the bird too.

jackt: not so big on bugs myself. But f it works for you, why the hell not?

SG: When I was a kid, I went swimming in Lake Huron every summer. I wanna go back … except that water’s damn cold! (Those are big lakes - takes a long time to heat them up.)

Carzy? Shit … I can’t type to save my life. I think I meant they would go crazy. (Though with the honking, I suppose you could say they’ll go “carzy.”)
