Look what I found

I’m going through a lot of old papers etc. Yesterday, I came across this - a poem of sorts I wrote about ten years ago. It’s a bit silly but I’ve always kind of liked it so for what it’s worth, here it is:
One of us
You were a car when you were young.
Now you are a bus
dreaming you’re a normal person
like the rest of us
who dream that we are sailboats
sailing peaceful waters,
children of the ocean,
her swimming sons and daughters.
It’s better dreaming you’re a boat.
A boat will sail afloat.
When you dream you are a car
you don’t sail very far
before you sink
into the drink.
And there you are,
the ocean bed,
dreaming drowning in your head.
