Beautiful day

ManWhat a fabulous day, as this guy on the right seems to suggest. No, I’ve no idea who he is but his attitude seems the right one on such day.

Today, the food was good, the beer was cold, the sky was clear and brilliant with sunlight.

Could you ask for more? It was a beautiful day, or perhaps it’s better described as a “heavenly day.”

And this was certainly welcome, from a meteorological perspective, as I’m just back from a few days out in my old stomping grounds, Alberta.

Road to Edmonton Airport at evening, clouded sky. While there, the weather was not so good. It was a tad grim as the picture of my trip to the airport suggests. But it also suggests that Alberta is all about sky, something I absolutely love about wild rose country.

Perhaps on the weekend I’ll get a chance to post some of the pics I took over the last week or so. There’s a passel of them. (I bought a new camera as well, which may explain the inordinate number of photos I took.)

Despite the weather, it was great to be back in Alberta but, having said that, it’s also great to be back in Fredericton and my own home and my own bed and my own stuff.

As an aside … I really do hate flying. And airports. It really is a toss-up: travel by air or get a colon irrigation with a fire hose. Hard to choose.

And that’s it for now. When time permits, I may ramble more about my recent rambles.
