Introducing Molly Bloom

Molly BloomGonzo would be having kittens, as the expression goes, but someone new will be moving in with me. Her name is Molly Bloom.

I adopted her from the Fredericton SPCA and she was supposed to come home with me today. However, Nature had other ideas and biology will have its way. She was to be spayed yesterday but she went into heat, and so …

As it turns out, it will be a few weeks before I can bring her home. But we did manage to spend some time together today and I discovered she disagrees very firmly with the whole idea of the leash. It’s not a concept she approves of.

Yes, there’s some training ahead.

In the meantime, we got acquainted. And I’m learning about dogs. Not at all like cats.

As for Molly Bloom … I’ve always loved the name. From Joyce’s Ulysses.
